Telepsychiatry

Care that comes to you.

Telepsychiatry

Thoughtful psychiatric care through secure video visits, wherever you feel most at home.

You don’t have to sit in a waiting room to have a meaningful relationship with your psychiatrist.

You’re Not Alone Psychiatry provides telepsychiatry to adults throughout Oregon. You can meet with me from your home or another private place where you feel comfortable, as long as you are physically located in Oregon at the time of your appointment.

For many people, meeting from home makes psychiatric care easier to fit into everyday life. It eliminates travel and can allow our conversations to happen in a setting that feels familiar and comfortable.

My Approach

But convenience isn’t the most important part.
Connection still matters.

Telepsychiatry should not feel distant simply because we are meeting through a screen.

I approach our time together in much the same way I would if we were sitting in the same room: with attention, curiosity, conversation, and enough time to understand what is happening in your life.

Psychiatric evaluation, medication management, psychotherapy, deprescribing, integrative psychiatry, lifestyle psychiatry, and geriatric psychiatric care can all be incorporated into our work together through telehealth when clinically appropriate.

“Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate.”

-Carl Jung

Who it May Work Well For

Telepsychiatry can be especially useful if you:

  • Prefer the privacy and familiarity of meeting from home
  • Live at a distance from psychiatric care
  • Have a busy schedule or want to avoid travel time
  • Have health or mobility concerns that make travel more difficult
  • Simply prefer receiving psychiatric care by video

What to Expect

Appointments take place through the secure telehealth platform within Practice Better. You’ll need a private location in Oregon, a reliable internet connection, and a computer, tablet, or phone with video and audio. I’ll guide you through the rest.

Care from where you are.

The setting may be virtual. The relationship is still human.
