Let’s Begin
Everything you need to know before taking the next step.
I’m so glad you’re here and I look forward to the possibility of working together. This page will help you understand how to begin, what the first appointments look like, and some of the practical details of my practice.

Step 1: Complimentary Meet & Greet
Our first step is a complimentary 15-minute video Meet & Greet.
This is an opportunity for us to meet briefly, for you to tell me what brings you here, and for both of us to consider whether my practice is a good fit for what you need.
The Meet & Greet is not a psychiatric evaluation or treatment visit. It is simply a first conversation.

Step 2: Initial Psychiatric Evaluation
60 minutes · $495
If we decide to work together, we’ll begin with a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation.
I’ll want to understand what is happening now as well as the larger context: your psychiatric and medical history, previous treatment, medications and supplements, relationships, lifestyle, important experiences, strengths, and what you hope will be different.
Our first clinical meeting is about understanding you rather than rushing immediately toward a prescription.
Afterward, I take time to consider what I’ve learned and develop an initial formulation of what may be happening and what might help.

Step 3: Your Personalized Care Plan
45 minutes · $375
We meet again to put the pieces together.
I’ll share my assessment with you, explain my thinking, and answer your questions. We’ll discuss treatment options, including their potential benefits, risks, alternatives, and uncertainties.
Then we decide together what makes sense for you.
Your plan may include medication, psychotherapy, lifestyle or integrative approaches, further evaluation, coordination with other healthcare professionals, or some combination of these.
If medication is part of our plan, it can begin at this visit when appropriate.

Step 4: Ongoing Care
Follow-Up Visit · 25 minutes · $250 Extended Follow-Up Visit · 45 minutes · $375
Follow-up care is individualized. Some visits may focus primarily on medication and monitoring. Others may allow more time for psychotherapy or more complex concerns.
We’ll decide together what kind of follow-up makes sense.
A Few Things to Know
Insurance & Payment
You’re Not Alone Psychiatry currently accepts Regence BlueCross BlueShield, traditional Medicare, and private pay.
I am in the process of expanding participation with additional insurance plans. Because insurance participation changes as credentialing is completed, the most current list of accepted plans is available when you request a Complimentary Meet & Greet.
If you don’t see your insurance listed, you are still welcome to inquire. Coverage depends on your specific plan and benefits.
Private-pay patients may receive a superbill to submit to their insurance plan for possible out-of-network reimbursement. Coverage and reimbursement depend on your individual plan.
controlled Medications
Because this is primarily a telepsychiatry practice, some controlled medications require additional consideration. I do not prescribe benzodiazepines or opioids through telehealth. Stimulant prescribing is considered individually and must comply with current federal and state requirements and appropriate clinical monitoring.
Location
You must be physically located in Oregon at the time of your telehealth appointment.
Cancellation Policy
Please provide at least two business days’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Late cancellations and missed appointments may be subject to a fee as described in the practice’s Financial & Practice Policies.
