deprescribing
Sometimes less medicine means more you.
Many people come to me feeling overmedicated, emotionally dulled, or unsure why they’re on multiple prescriptions. Some feel trapped in a regimen that no longer fits; others were never given a clear explanation in the first place.
Deprescribing is the thoughtful, skillful process of tapering psychiatric medications when appropriate, to restore clarity, balance, and agency. It’s not about being “anti-medication.” It’s about revisiting what’s still serving you, what isn’t, and how to make changes safely and respectfully.
Inspired by the growing movement toward psychiatric liberation, including the work of Laura Delano and Unshrunk, this work invites you back into the driver’s seat of your own healing. You are not broken. You are not powerless. This is about reclaiming your story, your body, and your path forward.
My Approach
Deprescribing requires more than a medication schedule — it requires attunement.
I don’t rush or push. We move only when you’re ready, and only as fast as your system allows. We’ll consider your history, your body’s signals, your daily rhythms, your fears, and your support network. We’ll also listen for what might be emerging beneath the medication: emotional truths, spiritual questions, or long-lost parts of you returning to the surface.
You deserve to feel clear, connected, and in control of your care.
I’m here to walk beside you, every step of the way.

“Sometimes letting go is an act of far greater power than defending or hanging on.”
-Eckhart Tolle
