Geriatric Psychiatry
A specialized branch of psychiatry devoted to the mental and emotional well-being of older adults.
It addresses concerns such as late-life depression, anxiety, memory changes, sleep disturbances, grief, medication side effects, and the emotional toll of caregiving, all within the unique landscape of aging and complex health conditions.
My Approach
I meet each older adult with deep respect for the story they’ve lived and the transitions they now face. My approach is collaborative, thoughtful, and holistic; rooted in dignity, clarity, and connection.
I begin with a comprehensive assessment that includes medical history, psychiatric background, current symptoms, and medications. When appropriate, I also welcome input from loved ones or care partners. I take a conservative, intentional approach to prescribing, always weighing risks and benefits, and often integrate therapy, lifestyle adjustments, and coordination with your broader care team.

“Do not grow old, no matter how long you live. Never cease to stand like curious children before the great Mystery into which we were born.”

What to Expect
We’ll begin with a thorough evaluation that honors both your medical realities and personal values. From there, we’ll co-create a plan that may include psychotherapy, medication, regular check-ins, or practical strategies for well-being.
Sessions unfold at your pace, with warmth, clarity, and a steady presence. Family involvement is always welcome if desired. My goal is to provide expert care while helping you navigate this chapter with grace, meaning, and support.
